Great America launched the new wooden roller coasters

Six flag is to Build World’s Fastest Wooden Roller Coaster

 Six flags Great America announced that its edifice a new wooden roller coaster, named Goliath . It will go at speeds of up to 72 mph.

"The theme park north of Chicago says it'll break two other records for wooden coasters: It will have the tallest drop at 180 feet and the steepest drop at 85 degrees. Construction begins this fall, and it is scheduled to open in spring of 2014.

"Holding three world records, Goliath is the most tremendous coaster of its variety and provides adrenaline rush like no other," the website says. "Riders will elevate up to touch the sky atop the 165-foot lift hill. Then, you'll flog over the peak and surmount the world's tallest and steepest hart-racing drop, at an unbelievable 180 feet and a near-vertical 85 degrees. You'll reach the bottom of this gut-wrenching slope before you even have time to scream."

Goliath will make its home in the County Fair section of the park. Construction begins this fall and Goliath is scheduled to open spring of 2014. 

The biggest Fright Fest ever is coming this fall. Six Flags Great America’s annual celebration will undergo the largest expansion in the park’s history with more haunted houses and ghouls than ever. 

“Six Flags Great America is known for introducing record-breaking and first-of-its-kind roller coasters,” said Hank Salemi, Six Flags Great America park president. “All of the ride elements… make Goliath the most extreme wooden roller coaster in the world.”
